At Better Language Company we have a strong, enthusiastic and dedicated team of language, translation and transcription project managers. We’re proud to introduce our team to you.
Her first venture, a communications company, turned out to be a success and inspired her to establish Bangula. Juxtaposed language-related endeavours include being appointed as the copy editor of popular Farmer’s Weekly and a position as senior financial translator at Finance Week. As Bangula Lingo Centre expanded, she devoted her time to managing large translation and educational content development projects. She also wrote a number of educational textbooks.
Hannietjie continues to ply her project management, editing and writing skills from her home in a nature reserve in the Magaliesberg area. The convenient location close to the major urban areas in Gauteng enables her to meet with the Bangula team on a regular basis and to attend client meetings. From time to time, she mentors students in practical translation students at the Wits Language School. Life in the nature reserve allows her to pursue some of her other passions: hiking, gardening and poetry.
From brand guru and financial planner, Marcus has worked his way up to CEO of Bangula.
As CEO of a small yet vibrant company, he has applied his ability to be a jack of all trades and a master in leadership and brand management to great advantage for BLC. Equipped with a BA degree from Vega in Strategic Brand Communication, Marcus has become Bangula’s social media and SEO marketing whiz.
He balances hard work with hard play, working out regularly in the gym and occasionally bringing home provincial colours in powerlifting. Romping around with his dogs and reading anything from quantum physics to science fiction form part of his more relaxing leisure-time activities.
Many wonderings and experiences brought me to Bangula where I hope to apply my love of the written word, my passion for linguistic accuracy and my management skills in order to enhance the services we offer.
In the past I have worked in several industries and in many positions where I acquired a knack for communication and an understanding of excellent customer support.
Since joining Blc in October 2014, I have been able to apply my love of the written word, my passion for linguistic accuracy and my management skills in order to enhance the services we offer. My experience gained through working in several industries in the past, has enabled me to successfully manage several projects over the last two years. I am passionate about customer service excellence and use my ability to understand both sides of the situation in order to deliver the best service possible.
Projects that I have been involved in include translations of eLearning solutions, customer publications and subtitles for a movie. My plans for the future include attending training courses on editing in order to expand my knowledge and skills set.
